About Destiny U
Destiny U is an academic, in-depth study of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Each session is cumulative, i.e., building upon the all previous sessions. What we are doing is looking at The Story Behind THE STORY.
Our raison d'être (reason for being) is in our efforts to combat biblical illiteracy. Here's a link to The Scandal of Biblical Illiteracy: It’s Our Problem by Albert Mohler, and an even more shocking Biblical Illiteracy Isn’t Funny, It’s Scary by Shane Morris. This defeat of biblical illiteracy can only be accomplished by regular, consistent study that is simply beyond "devotional" reading. We look at what the Bible actually says rather than what society thinks it says. Often there is a big difference!
Regular attendees are actually getting a free Bible College education (without exams and stuff) while learning how to see what the text actually says. The more you know about God’s ways, God’s character, and God’s priorities, all expressed in God’s Word, the more understanding of what God has written you will gain. And that is to your benefit. Bible study itself is a regular part of our Christian lives. But, this can only be accomplished by regular, consistent study that is simply beyond "devotional" reading.
Will you make the commitment of an hour or so per week?
